On May 29, Turkey commemorated the 562 anniversary of the conquest of Istanbul by the Ottoman Empire with a mega event in Istanbul. The culmination of the event was a 30 minute multimedia show of superlatives. FLASH ART supported the staging with fireworks, flames and laser systems. Almost a quarter million people attended the spectacle – the Turkish authorities spoke of the “biggest party in the history of modern Turkey.”
